First Plastics Corp. - Leominster, MA



	First Plastics Corporation was founded as Art Plastics Co. in 1953 in Leominster, Massachusetts by Aldo Mazzaferro. The company primarily manufactured plastic hair combs, hangers, and novelty items. Ed Mazzaferro joined his father in 1988. With this new leadership, the company changed its business focus to custom plastic injection molding and spun off the comb and brush manufacturing. In order to reflect its new direction the company was renamed First Plastics Corporation.


	In 1991, Aldo retired and Ed took over day-to-day management of the company. First Plastics began the initiative to replace and update its molding equipment with new large capacity presses in 1995. This initiative has placed First Plastics as one of the most technologically advanced injection molders in the Northeast. Today it continues to add the latest technology while increasing its manufacturing capacity. First Plastics has some of the largest presses in the Northeast region for the custom injection molding industry. We also provide related services such as new tool sourcing, custom packaging, decorating, assembly, in-mold labeling, insert molding, ultrasonic welding, heat forming and riveting.
